Summer is now well and truly upon us and it is not traditionally the lighting season. However, during the long summer evenings it is still necessary to have a well lit interior (and exterior) in order to enjoy the balmy evenings with comfort and style.
A well chosen pendant light over your eating area will make dining that bit more special, assuming that the food is up to scratch (and of course the company), as will well placed floor lights, wall lights and table lights around your living space. Dotting several light fittings around your living area will always give a comfortable and flexible lighting effect. They do not all need to be switched on at once, depending on what you are doing. If you are sitting alone and reading a book in your favourite armchair we have an extensive choice of floor reading lights to make this quality time even better. The Bestlite BL3 is sort of the Rolls Royce of reading lights but I have a sneaky feeling that this may be overtaken by the new Grasshopper floor lights by Greta Magnusson designed in 1947. The first samples arrived with us last week and they really are something very special. Alternatively if your home is full of people the space will always benefit from a selection of well chosen table and floor lights around the room giving hot spots of light in the evening and making your home more welcoming.
